CMEIG apprentice of the year presented to Richard Gauci
Congratulations to Melbourne Tractors apprentice Richard Gauci who won the 1st Year Apprentice of the Year Award (Travel Allowance) at the 2015 CMEIG Industry Awards Night held at the ACE Expo on Friday 13th November 2015. CMEIG Victoria Apprentice of the Year Awards recognises the outstanding achievements of the industries finest apprentices.
Melbourne Tractors National Service Manager, Bruce Rae, said he couldn’t think of a more deserving winner for a CMEIG Industry Award.
“Richard shows a real commitment and passion for his trade and it’s outstanding that he has been recognised for his efforts in both the classroom and in the workplace,” Bruce said.
“All of us at Melbourne Tractors are extremely proud of Richard and we know he will go far in this industry.”
Richard is currently enrolled at Box Hill Institute for Certificate III Mobile Plant Technology whilst working as an apprentice mechanic at Melbourne Tractors in Campbellfield. This course covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a range of service and repair tasks on mobile plant. Within the three year course, Richard will learn everything from servicing earthmoving equipment, repairing engines and transmissions, diagnosing electrical systems to testing and repairing hydraulic systems. Richard has recently just completed his first year of the apprenticeship.
