The Kobelco SK500LC is a new 50 tonne excavator designed and built in the state of the art Kobelco Factory in Hiroshima, Japan. Drawn on eight decades of excavator manufacturing, one again Kobelco have produced a machine with market leading technology, and increased power all while maintaining fuel savings and high operator safety.

This machine is built with a turbocharged enhanced, energy efficient Hino engine delivering greater productivity for each litre of fuel used. In addition to this, this excavator features the familiar H mode for heavy duty operations requiring more power and S mode for standard work, along with the new ECO mode. Eco mode delivers fuel savings of up to 13%.

The SK500LC is significantly heavier than earlier models with a long, beefy X-frame providing enhanced stability and balance. It also has a high capacity hydraulic system which can be adjusted from inside the cab.

The Kobelco SK500LC is available with a full selection of buckets and couplers. Melbourne Tractors also stock a range of MSB hydraulic hammers suitable for this machine.
